About Waco, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The small community of Waco is unincorporated and found in rural Madison County, Kentucky. It is found within the Richmond-Berea Micro Statistical Area. Named for Waco, TX, the history of the community dates back to 1861, when the local post office opened.  Waco is found about eight miles east of Richmond, home to Eastern Kentucky University.

While Waco is a small town, and there are no major attractions here. Marcum Farms calls the community home, as does the local Waco Baptist Church. Fortunately, for visitors in need of some more excitement, the large city of Lexington is only a short drive away. This cultural hub is home to the Lexington Ballet Company, the Lexington Philharmonic, and the Kentucky Theatre, and it is a popular destination for equestrians. The Red Mile and Keeneland tracks both call Waco home.

Climate control needs in Waco vary with the season, as is typical with a humid subtropical zone. A warm spring season leads into a hot, muggy summer. Average high temperatures reach into the upper-80s or low-90s, but high dew point readings make it feel even warmer. On the most uncomfortable of days, Waco residents are often grateful that they have an energy efficient central air conditioner at home. An experienced HVAC technician is also a good resource to find the system that will best cool a home of any size.

Similarly, dangerous weather conditions can arrive in the winter. While snowfall is variable and many seasons see hardly any accumulation, cold temperatures are common. This is especially true of overnight lows, which often fall below freezing. When paired with rain and sleet, dangerous conditions can result both indoors and outdoors. An energy efficient heat pump or furnace will keep indoor conditions comfortable while protecting pipes and plumbing systems. Additionally, Energy Star units can help residents save on their monthly utility costs.
