About Richmond, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Richmond, Kentucky is the county seat of Madison County. Home to Eastern Kentucky University, nearly 34,000 people call the city home. Richmond is a major center for shopping and employment in southcentral Kentucky, and it is one of the largest cities in the Bluegrass Region. Notable residents throughout the city’s history have included Daniel Boone and Supreme Court Justice Samuel Freeman Miller.

Historic Richmond is full of things to see and do. Eastern Kentucky University’s Center for the Arts hosts many cultural events throughout the year, and local produce is available at Baldwin Farms. Historical sites are plentiful at Battlefield Park, Fort Boonesborough State Park, and White Hall State Historic Site. Visitors might also like to pick up a bottle of local wine at Chenault Vineyards.

Outdoor recreation is also very popular in Richmond and the surrounding area. The city maintains many parks, the most popular of which is Lake Reba Recreational Complex. During the summer, the city’s pool is packed at Paradise Cove, and residents often enjoy an afternoon at Adventure Falls Miniature Golf and Batting Cages.

Richmond is part of a humid subtropical climate zone, and summers here are muggy and hot. Average high temperatures in July reach into 80s, but thermostat readings in excess of 90 are perfectly common. With the addition of high humidity levels, conditions can feel unbearably hot at times, so residents are wise to invest in the right climate control system. An energy-efficient central air conditioner will keep Richmond citizens cool on even the hottest of days.

Winters in Richmond see light snowfall and cold to cool temperatures. Average January temperatures reach into the upper-30s, but overnight lows can be frigid. Without a reliable furnace at home, indoor conditions could become dangerously cold. Also, pipes could be at risk for freeze, which may lead to some expensive repair bills. A local HVAC technician can ensure that doesn’t happen.
