About Lancaster, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Lancaster, Kentucky is a small city in Garrand County. Approximately 3,500 people call this county seat home. Lancaster is found 35 miles south of Lexington, and it is said to be home to the setting for Uncle Tom’s Cabin – Kennedy House. The city was founded in 1979, and it was named after Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the hometown of one of the city’s original founders. Lancaster is situated three miles east of the Dix River, and it is found close to Danville, Richmond, and other local communities.

The small community of Lancaster isn’t home to any major tourist destinations, but there are some prominent businesses here. Shopping is available at one of many unique shops, including Napier Brothers Clothing, Wood Crafters of Lancaster, and Canoe Creek Apparel. Popular destinations around meal times in Lancaster include Caribbean Spice, Last Stop Pizza Shop, and Pasture Burgers & BBQ. Other major regional attractions are found within a short drive of Lancaster, like the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Harrodsburg and the Great American Dollhouse Museum in Danville.

The Lancaster area is found in a humid subtropical climate zone. Summers are hot and humid, and in July, average highs reach into the upper-80s. However, many days see thermostat readings into the 90s, and for residents, it is important to be prepared with a reliable central air conditioner. Not only do these systems keep interiors cool, but they will also improve indoor air quality. This is an important benefit for children, the elderly, and people with chronic respiratory conditions.

During the winter months, conditions are drastically different. HVAC repair professionals recommend that residents use the cooler autumn months to service their existing systems or consider a new, Energy Star furnace. While the area only sees a few inches of snowfall each year, low temperatures often fall below freezing. These conditions can be dangerous without the right climate controls in place.
