Paint Lick, Kentucky is an unincorporated community found in Kentucky’s Garrard County. It is located east of Lancaster along Routes 52 and 21. Population estimates in Paint Lick reveal that about 3,200 people reside in this community, which is also referred to unofficially as “The Jewel of Garrard County.” Paint Lick is located 40 miles south of Lexington and is only about 100 miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee state line.

While there may not be any major attractions in the small community of Paint Lick, there are some important businesses here to support local residents. There are many interesting treasures available for discovery at Todd’s Antique Mall, and household essentials can be purchased at the Dollar General. The Paint Lick Presbyterian Church serves as a local historical site, as it was founded in 1879. Golf is also popular in this part of the state, and Paint Lick residents can take a short drive to nearby Richmond to play a round at Pioneer Golf Course or Battlefield Golf Course.

Found within the northern portion of a humid subtropical climate, Paint Lick residents will enjoy hot, humid summer days with cooler temperatures at night. July is the hottest month, and temperatures often reach the upper-80s.
